Recettear is a tongue-in-cheek Japanese RPG from 2007, now translated into English. It follows the story of a girl who is about to have her home repossessed, and so opens an item shop in the hope of paying the loan off.

If you've ever wondered what all those shopkeepers in RPGs do when they're not selling their wares, Recettear has all the answers. Buying low and selling high is the aim, and you'll be selling a wide variety of RPG item favourites, such as swords, shields and random things you find on dungeon floors. You can hire an adventurer to hunt down treasures for you to sell in your shop too.

The demo is really quite long and definitely worth a play. If you're allergic to hefty amount of dialogue and/or don't particularly enjoy RPGs, give it a miss. Everyone else should grab it here.
