It's Super Meat Boy day! Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes' platformer from hell is now available for download for your Xbox 360, although Nintendo Wii and PC gamers will have to wait until next month before they can get in on the meaty action.

In a blog post yesterday, Edmund explained that Microsoft wanted the game on offer this Christmas, but Team Meat weren't happy with reducing the price after only a couple of months. Hence, the guys opted for a rather different approach - Super Meat Boy is NOW on offer for just 800 MS Points ($10), and will go back up to the full price of 1200 MS Points during November. What this essentially means is that if you don't grab a copy this month, you are a raving lunatic.

If you're looking for the inside scoop on the game, make sure you listen to this week's IndieGames podcast - it's a Super Meat Boy special!
