A great Twitter hashtag started a few weeks ago and has been picking up speed. Every Saturday (and Sunday too, for the stragglers), indie developers on Twitter have been posting up screenshots of their latest works-in-progress along with the hashtag #ScreenshotSaturday.

All these screenshots are then collected together over at the Screenshot Saturday Gallery for anyone to check out. The original tweet is also displayed next to the screenie, so if you spot anything that particularly catches your eye, you can then go and check out more of the developer's work.

It's a lovely idea, conceived by developer Pekka Kujansuu (with help from Mike Meyer). Indies: If you're interested in taking part, all you have to do is use the hashtag #ScreenshotSaturday on a weekend, along with a link to your screenshot. For everyone else, make sure you check out all the latest available images.
