Don't worry, Anonymous, we're definitely spending more time on refining the gameplay.
We took a lot of the advice from the feedback we got from the first game; a lot of people disliked that sliding part, it was a pretty unfair section as it was difficult to time your jumps. There were some other unfair parts as well, we're going to make sure this game is more solid and polished than the prototype.
We want to make sure that it's challenging and has plenty of parts that test your reflexes, but not unfair due to controls or awkward animations.
We're extremely excited about this and we want to make an awesome game that looks sweet and plays great!

I strongly suggest getting someone else to do the voice work in the game. I had never seen this game before and thought the line about only having 12 bullets was supposed to be comedic.

@Chris
We'll definitely be able to afford that if the project gets funded; we have a specific voice actor in mind even.
The original prototype was done on a $0 budget, so the same person who did the programming also provided the voice work.
