Turn-based, team-based tactical shootery thing Frozen Synapse is nearly ready for launch, and the single player missions have finally been detailed. There are 55 missions to play through in total, involving escorting VIPs, robbing banks, and killing evil scientists, to name a few.

The story is set sometime in the future in the city of Markov Geist, where a number of different factions are vying for control. Although there are pre-determined missions and objectives, each level is "semi-randomly-generated" - which sounds pretty intriguing, if you ask me. Each missions also has "dynamic dialogue" which responds differently depending on your actions.

There are also plenty of new additions that players of the multiplayer beta will not yet have seen, including new unit types, civilians, friendly AI, tripwires, and a full backstory for those who like to become fully immersed in the action.

You can still pre-order the game at the official Frozen Synapse site now, and when it's fully released, you'll receive a Steam code for it. Here's a tip - bang the promo code STANCHER in when you're ordering, and you'll get a whole 30% off the pre-order price too! Make sure to read our preview of the beta for a glimpse of what to expect.
