At first glance, Aphelion Incident looks somewhat like your typical platformer. You're a little alien looking to escape from the clutches of some other aliens. The other lifeforms, as per the norm in such situations, have guns and you do not. The twist here is that the protagonist is a telepath capable of controlling his enemies, something that opens a huge realm of possibilities. However, what really makes it interesting is the fact your foes are more than just target dummies. They all have life stories, relationships, feelings - it's hard not to feel at least a hint of sympathy for them.

Alphelion Incident is rather well-done and like some of the commentators, I definitely hope this will be expanded upon later.
