Developer Candella Software has started an 8-Bit Funding campaign to drum up financial support for its upcoming console, PC, and iOS racer Cargasm.
Candella describes its project: "Heralding a return of the classic arcade racer, Cargasm gives gamers a host of supercars which they can enter into different races. All the race tracks are set in meticulously recreated photorealistic real-world locations such as San Francisco, London, Yosemite National Park, Egypt, Switzerland and Mount Kilmanjaro."
Sounds vaguely like a reborn San Francisco Rush or Crusin' USA to me -- could be fun stuff, if it's completed! Candella is promising a number of funding perks to contributors, ranging from in-game credit as an executive producer to retail copies of the game. Donations of $2,000 or more will get the greatest prize of all: an appearance in the game as either "a full 3D male character avatar or as one of the Cargasm Harem girls."
Candella currently has 53 days to achieve its funding goal of $25,000.
