Downloadable indie game destination IndieCity has "soft launched," with the aim of being "home of all things indie gaming." According to IndieCity's blog, the proper launch of the website will be next Wednesday, December 14.

Several games that have been the topic of discussion on IndieGames are in the store already: Starflower Games' Project Black Sun, Tametick's Cardinal Quest and Krystian Majewski's Trauma.

One standout point of interest IndieCity touts is that its downloadable client will automatically download demos of games the service thinks players will enjoy. Another point of interest that is not up yet may be the Underground section, where gamers can check out unfinished games and give feedback to developers.

Chris Swan of IndieCity chatted with Mike Rose earlier this year on Gamasutra, explaining how they aim to be more than just an indies-only version of Steam.
