These new ports are being developed as a partnership between Zeboyd Games and Tinkerhouse Games, who've released two iOS games previously. I caught up with Bill Stiernberg from Zeboyd to find out more about why they decided to port CSTW to these new platforms, and how it came about, here's what he said:
"We at Zeboyd have had a lot of fan requests to bring Cthulhu Saves the World to mobile platforms. By partnering with Tinkerhouse Games, we'll be able to bring it to numerous mobile and Apple platforms. Tinkerhouse is incredibly talented and easy to work with, so we're excited to celebrate Cthulhu Saves the World's 1-year anniversary with this announcement, and the Xbox Indie price drop to a dollar."
I tried to tease some Rainslick Episode 3 details out of him whilst I had his attention, but he was having none of it, only cryptically telling me to be patient.
All these new versions should be released in Q1 of this year, depending on how development goes. The XBLIG version of CSTW is 80 MS effective immediately, so have at.
