Six-sided block obsessed first person puzzler Q.U.B.E. has today received a release via Steam. It's available now, with 15% off until the 13th. It's also available on Desura, GamersGate & Playism, so you can take your pick from a range of distributors.
Q.U.B.E. (Or Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion) by Toxic Games is the first game to be released with backing from The Indie Fund, an all star collective of successful indie developers who largely funded the development of Q.U.B.E. when they were impressed by an early prototype.
I've played the first 15/20 puzzles in Q.U.B.E., and it a real noggin scratcher. There's little to no filler: it's just a series of rooms with puzzles compiled of simple elements arranged in an elegant way to make you have to think about how to get to the next room. It's smart, stylish and well put together, it's easy to see why the indie fund decided it was worth investing in what started out as a student project.
There's a demo too, give it a whirl.
