Fancy a trip down Memory Lane? If so, come give The Hatchings a whirl. Created by the near legendary Ferry Halim, The Hatchings feature all of Orisinal's trademark gift for soft pastels and delightful ambient music. In this simple piece, you play as a remarkably productive hen. The objective here is to try and get as many eggs, all of which are capable of running around on two little feet, as possible on the screen before you waltz through them, thereafter causing them to hatch.
All in all, it's a serious cute experience. As you fight to acquire as many points as possible before the end of the timer, you'll find yourself coming across various power-ups. One refills the timer a little, another slows down time and there's a third that causes your feathered friend to don a cat mask so as to be able to scare away her brood. You probably won't spend all too much time with the Hatchings but I'm fairly certain that those few minutes will still earn a smile.
Play the game here.
