Jasper Byrne's 2D psychological horror game is probably what every Silent Hill title after the first two dreams to be. It's a skin-crawling, paranoia-inducing romp through a world ravaged by disease and madness and quite possibly my favorite horror game ever. Sure, there's Amnesia and Dead Space and Clive Barker's Undying and everything else in between but not many games are capable of using big, blocky pixels to make you hunch nervously into your chair.

Lone Survivor is the story of a masked protagonist known only as 'You'. Alone and desperate, 'You' must somehow survive against the odds. To do so, you're going to have to dodge a multitude of monstrosities, find ways to sustain yourself, avoid going insane and - oh, just play the demo already. I cannot recommend it enough.

You can purchase the regular version for $10 or contribute even more by acquiring the First Aid Edition for $50.
