A newly released Windows version of Firebase's horizontally scrolling shoot-'em-up Orbitron: Revolution is now available for purchase through GamersGate.

Originally published for the Xbox Live Indie Games service late last year, Orbitron: Revolution offers wave-based gameplay in a looping playfield -- a style similar to Williams' arcade classic Defender. The game was featured as a semi-finalist in last year's Dream.Build.Play competition, and the PC version adds new visual options and ups the framerate to 60 frames per second.

Orbitron: Revolution is priced at $4.99.
