The Hideout's Rijn the Specpyre in... Manor of the Damned is an action RPG, featuring a wandering vampyre who agrees to help rid a village of a raiding specpyre family. Our own Tim W. detailed the Secret of Mana-like combat and inventory system. Along with classic J-RPG gameplay and graphics, the game has a rather energetic, industrial soundtrack.
Manor of the Damned's demo received positive reactions on IndieGames when Tim spotted it last September. Those who said they were willing to shell out at least $10 are in luck; Manor of the Damned is actually on sale at Desura for a few more hours (as of this writing) for $4.19 and carries a regular price of $5.99.
Linux and Windows versions are now available, with a Mac version coming soon. There is still a free demo for those curious to play before they pay. Also of note, The Hideout is now working on a multiplayer, possibly of the first-person shooter variety.
