Davian Black has released an update for Voxel Heroes, an in-progress freeware roguelike with a pleasantly boxy look to it.
Voxel Heroes currently follows traditional roguelike structure (permadeath, turn-based movement, randomly generated levels and items), but its creator hopes to expand its scope in future updates with the addition of towns, NPCs, and unlockable items that can be stored and reused.
The latest update introduces a magic system, a new dungeon theme, and a lighting shader, among other additions. Voxel Heroes is available as a free download for Windows PCs.
