The event celebrates the year's best indie releases across 12 categories, with awards recognizing excellence in visuals, impact, and story and world design. Previous IndieCade Award winners include Polytron's Fez and Playdead's Limbo.

"Felicia has great synergy with the innovative spirit of IndieCade," said IndieCade CEO Stephanie Barish. "Her passion, creative vision and self-starting attitude embody the ethos of the indie community. Having her host will make our award ceremony extremely meaningful."

The annual Festival showcases new and upcoming indie releases in the GameWalk exhibit, which is free and open to the public. The 2012 IndieCade conference, held concurrent to the Festival, offers four days of panels and discussions headed by indie developers.

General admission tickets to the IndieCade conference can be purchased at an early registration rate of $275 through the event's website. Admission to the Red Carpet Awards requires an additional $50 purchase.
