Is everyone and their cousin making a game-related Kickstarter project these days? Don't get me wrong. I don't have anything against Yogscast. I absolutely adore them, in fact. However, I'm slightly amazed at the sheer amount of people who have invested in this now-fashionable form of funding. Ranting aside, I seriously can't wait for Yogventures to be made into a reality.
According the description of the project, The Yogscast crew won't actually be developing the game themselves. They're actually working in partnership with WinterKewl Games, a bunch of people armed with star-studded portfolios. As for the game itself, it looks like they're intending to manufacture an open world sandbox, one that has been designed, first and foremost, to be a multiplayer experience. Fans of the Yogscast crew's misadventures will be happy to know that all of their familiar characters will be making an appearance.
I'm definitely interested in seeing where this one is going. Anyone who is willing to promise a game that will be 'the ultimate modder's experience' is someone worth keeping a skeptical eye on. Want to know more? You can check out the Kickstarter project yourself over here.
