Microscopia is one of the thousand or so games created during the latest Ludum Dare, but only the first one I've decided to write about. Why? Well, for starters, it's the first game azurenimbus ever created, thus fully encompassing the Ludum Dare spirit. Secondly, it's a wildly innovative game sporting mechanics I've never even imagined, thirdly -despite being little more than a hefty concept- it plays in a most enjoyable fashion and, finally, it is a game whose creator has been inspired by our Indie Tools series of articles.
Azurenimbus was actually kind enough to contact us and let us know this was the case and to say I was touched would be an understatement. I was actually elated; at least one talented individual -and up to a few days ago latent game designer- decided to go on and create a game. And a unique spot-the-microbe game at that too!
