After staging a recent comeback, Space Quest series creators Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy have launched a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming sci-fi adventure game SpaceVenture.

Crowe and Murphy have already assembled a talented team of voice actors for the project, including narrator Gary Owens (the voice of Space Ghost), Ellen McLain (Portal's GLaDOS), and the inescapable Rob Paulsen (basically every cartoon character ever). SpaceVenture is being developed for Windows, Mac, Linux, Apple's iPad, and Android tablets with a tentative launch date of February 2013.

The Two Guys from Andromeda have set a funding goal of $500,000, which must be met by June 12th for the project to continue. A downloadable copy of the game will be given to backers who pledge $15 or more. Other pledge rewards include digital soundtracks ($30), downloadable concept art ($60), and a physical copy of the game packaged in a "BIG Sierra like box" ($100).
