Flying Hamster creator The Game Atelier has released Gauge, a reflex-based game that tests the limits of player concentration.

In Gauge, players must touch the screen to keep a bar charged as close to its limits as possible to earn points. During gameplay, Gauge attempts to break the player's concentration with strobing, pulsing background imagery, interspersed with the occasional non sequitur image. The Game Atelier warns that it's not a game for those with an epileptic condition or an aversion to lolcats.

Gauge includes three gameplay modes, online leaderboards, and a variety of Game Center achievements. The game is available as a free trial download, with the full version unlockable via a 99-cent in-app purchase.
