Atari has announced the seven finalist titles entering the last round of judging in its Pong Indie Developer Challenge.
The developer of the competition's winning title will receive $50,000, and all games are now up for public vote at Atari's website. As of this writing, zGames' Pong World and Eppy Game's Fong (shown above) are tied for top honors, with each averaging a score of 3.7 out of 5 stars.
"The ultimate winner of the contest will be selected in part by a celebrity judging panel made up of Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, Dave Castelnuovo, David Whatley, and Mike Schramm," Atari notes. "Each judge's vote will be weighed against the community's votes in determining the finalist ranking."
The challenge's mobile app submission deadline is July 6th. Winners will be announced August 2nd.
