Twofold Secret's Mac and Windows title Sought ditches the charming pixels and wider color pallet of its former games such as Alight and Sanctuary 17. However, it retains the latter's procedurally generated, top-down exploration, although being set in an entirely different story. Players control a hunter who must choose to retrieve a child who has gone into woods and ultimately decide on bringing her back to her house or uncovering the reason why she fled.
Gameplay feels a bit minimal, especially when replaying several times to unlock the entire story, but the cool, calm, and intriguing narration pushed me forward. I'd like to figure out the sixth epilogue to the story, but I ran short on time to decode hints written in ROT13 in the readme file (funny, devs).
