"Haruka proceeds to the sewer alone, searching for the runaway chickens. What awaited her was a vast number of chickens and a weirdly-shaped huge chicken leg..."
So begins Shooting Chicken: Brutal Suckers, which, by the way, has one of the greatest titles of any Xbox Live Indie Game released to date. As it turns out, it's also a decently fun game in its own right.
Shooting Chickens: Brutal Suckers is a Contra-like run-and-gun shooter from Kohei, creator of the similarly bizarre The Houchi Play. In Shooting Chickens: Brutal Sucers, players use inappropriately powerful weaponry to fend off hordes of crazed chickens throughout multiple levels. Players are scored on a number of metrics and the end of each level, including head shots, stripped chickens, and "chickens made into yakitori."
Shooting Chicken: Brutal Suckers is priced at 80 Microsoft points ($1).
