Apple Jack 2 begins with our hero Apple Jack at a boring office job, daydreaming of his previous life as a brave adventurer. This leads to what is quite possibly the funniest intro sequence I've ever seen in an Xbox Live Indie Game. I won't spoil it; it truly must be seen in order to appreciate it.
The game itself consists of a series of creative platforming challenges inspired by Nintendo titles like Super Mario Bros. 2 and Yoshi's Island. In addition to being able to cling to walls and rewind time, Apple Jack can lift up enemies above his head and throw them in any direction, leading to some interesting solutions to the game's many terrain-based puzzles. I had a lot of fun with the demo, and I'm definitely going to check out the full version soon.
Apple Jack 2 is priced at 80 Microsoft points ($1).
