Following up on its charmingly bizarre freeware action-RPG Four Winds Fantasy, developer QUiKDiNG (formerly QUIMDUNG) has released Cave Rescue, a free iOS adventure game that it bills as a "Poke-inspired Roguelike Jr."

In Cave Rescue, players explore a series of procedurally generated caves in search of 100 missing creatures. Like Four Winds Fantasy, it has a strong Earthbound vibe, and the character designs vary between cute and terrifying.

There's definitely a lot to like here -- the quest seems quite lengthy, and what I've seen of the game so far easily matches Four Winds Fantasy in terms of strangeness. Give it a shot!
