Arcane Kids has completed its Jet Set Radio-inspired Windows and Mac freeware title Zineth recently, allowing everyone to roam fast and free in a gorgeous, polygonal open world. This world was actually absorbed by a cellphone game, and players must remind other inhabitants by collecting and distributing a zine of what they have forgotten outside of their cellphones.
This translates to some fetch quests, sending players far, wide, and high through wall riding, pipe grinding, and ramp jumping. The fetching may not sound interesting, but it's all about introducing players to a colorful, high-speed playground. Along the way, players will encounter others to battle on their cellphones in a single-stick shooter mini-game with RPG elements.
Zineth works with keyboard and mouse but was made for an Xbox controller.
