I try my best not to post about too many Kickstarter projects nowadays but I can't resist writing about this one. Solforge, the Digital Trading Card Game, is a Kickstarter project helmed by the makers of Ascension: Chronicles of the Godslayer (a surprisingly addictive if light-weight iOS-based card game) and ... Richard Garfield.
If you're wondering why that name sounds so familiar, it's because Garfield is a) the name of a fat orange cat we all know and love and b) also the name of the dude who freaking designed Magic: The Gathering.
Right now, it looks like Solforge will be a Digital Trading Card Game that will have the slightest hint of .. Pokemon? Your cards will apparently transform as you play. Sadly, as is often the case, the first platforms that will be serviced are the iOS and the PC. Android users will have to wait their turn. Again.
Either way, if you're excited about this, do drop by the Kickstarter Project page.
