Astroman creator StarQuail Games is currently working on Tiny Barbarian DX, an expanded follow-up to its freeware platformer Tiny Barbarian.

There's a lot of action packed into the gameplay snippets above, which do a good job of showing off the game's varied environments. You can also catch a glimpse of what appears to be an endless survival mode; its setup reminds me a bit of Ziggurat, and it looks like a lot of fun.

"The first game was free, this one will be inexpensive," developer Michael Stearns explains. "It is going to be much longer, and although in an early state it is already more substantial than the original, and I've worked hard at making it smoother, faster, and more fun! Currently it is for PC only but interest in other platforms is of course noted for the future."
