Indie developer Dirkson has released an updated alpha version of ScrumbleShip, an in-progress space combat simulator for Windows.
In its current state (dig that hand-drawn UI!), ScrumbleShip allows players to build their own voxely spaceship out of dozens of parts, including butter, amazingly enough. The latest version also adds a new heat engine, allowing you to melt holes in your creations. Future updates will add AI crewmates and a persistent online world, among other features.
Dirkson has also launched a Kickstarter campaign for ScrumbleShip, which at the time of this writing has earned nearly $2,000 toward its funding goal of $8,000.
