Curious Panda Games shows off its upcoming rhythm-based shoot-'em-up Rhythm Destruction in the new trailer above, released to promote its Kickstarter campaign and its appearance on Steam Greenlight.

Gameplay in Rhythm Destruction syncs with a background music track via a series of timed button presses. It features mechanics similar to games like Elite Beat Agents and Technic Beat, requiring players to time their attacks to a series of shrinking circles that appear over enemy formations.

It's an interesting concept -- dodging bullets while watching for button cues seems like it will be quite a challenge! Rhythm Destruction will be released in October for $4.99.
