After launching a Kickstarter campaign earlier this month, indie developer Jeremy Vight (Phr00t) has secured funding for 3089, a sequel to the Indie Royale-starring open-world adventure game 3079.

"3089 will be a futuristic, randomly generated 3D action role-playing game," Vight explains. "It will feel like a first-person shooter, have the depth of a modern role-playing game & be set in a randomly generated world."

3089 will ditch 3079's blocky graphics in favor of smoother terrain featuring procedurally generated textures. The game also boasts a weapon construction system, randomly generated vehicles, and a complete narrative, which may also be procedurally generated.

Access to the alpha, beta, and final versions of 3089 for Windows, Mac, and Linux will be given to backers who contribute $20 or more. Pledges of $40 or more will also receive copies of 3079 and Phr00t's latest game, Gentrieve 2.
