Andrew Wagoner of Nature's Mothership has released the Game & Watch-inspired action game Nessie, his first title for the Xbox Live Indie Games service.

While LCD-style games are popular on mobile platforms, they're not often seen on consoles, aside from the occasional curiosity like LCD Dungeon. This one has an interesting premise that's more complex than the average Game & Watch clone -- players must help the Loch Ness Monster avoid being seen by humans while occasionally surfacing to fill a draining air meter.

Nessie is priced at 80 Microsoft points ($1).
