Of course, Final Fantasy and Football make a natural pairing, and not just because of the alliteration. Another Fuck This Jam entry, Ted Martens' Final Fantasy Football for Windows takes a game and sport I really don't enjoy and makes something I would actually play more if fleshed out. I'm generally not a fan of random, turn-based fighting without at least an action element involved. Thankfully, Final Fantasy Football manages to implement action quite well, keeping players quick on their feet. The win condition is the same as American football: get to the end zone marked "touchdown" within four downs.
For a more traditional turn-based experience with thumping music, I also encourage you to try out toaster's Final Football.
