Available to play in browsers and as Windows freeware, A Man's Quest revolves around a boy named Ty looking for a taller tree to "claim" after another boy has marked it for his own. A ghost mistakes Ty as the chosen one, and Ty decides to accept the responsibility to free the tower spirits since it will give him a taller playground to make his friend jealous.
A Man's Quest starts out with a mix of vertical and horizontal platforming, but shortly after getting the grip gloves, it becomes a fun ascension game with frequent save spots. The twist is that the gloves don't allow the player to stick to any part of the wall, only the ledges. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't always keep up with the vertical climb, though.
If not for the pleasant platforming, A Man's Quest is worth playing for the soothing soundtrack from 8th Mode Music.
