While the United States waits for Election Day results, Yellow Snow Games has released Partisan Nation, a political strategy game for Windows, Mac, and Linux. A free demo version is also available.

Gameplay starts in July of 2012, and recreates the political battle between incumbent U.S. president Barack Obama and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. After the race concludes, however, the game continues indefinitely, allowing players to chart a potential course for congress and the presidency in the United States.

If the world of politics proves intimidating, you may want to check out this player's guide. Partisan Nation is priced at $19.99.
