IGF 2013 student entrant Groovy Tuesday is funky fresh (freeware), dressed to impress, and ready to party. Players take control of a jive elephant who must inject a healthy amount of flavor throughout a rather plain office. Yes, DePaul University students seem to have an affinity for anthropomorphism (see Octodad).
The one-stage demo reminds me of de Blob without platforming but with more color-infusing. Mechanically, it's more of a fetch quest, finding funky items and inserting or throwing them at unplugged devices.
While the gameplay is a bit light, Groovy Tuesday truly excels as an audio-visual treat. So, sit back and give either the Mac or Windows free build a spin. Add a little more groove to your weekday.
