Slender: The Arrival is set to release on Mac and PC in early 2013, and this newly released teaser trailer shows how far the game has come in just a few months after Mark J. Hadley's Slender released this summer.
There are no shortages of free and paid Slender games, but fans of the original that jump-started the craze should be happy to know Hadley is working with Blue Isle Studios on this new release. Joseph DeLage, Troy Wagner and Tim Sutton, the creators of Marble Hornets, are behind the story of The Arrival.
The team promises more gameplay than simply picking up eight pages, too. The teaser shows gameplay seems to take place from a camcorder perspective, and players will have to face creatures in addition to Slender in a variety of settings.
Slender: The Arrival will not be free when it releases. Hopefully the team will contribute a portion of the sales to the original creator of the Slender Man myth or at least come to some formal agreement. I asked both Hadley and Blue Isle to comment on this and will update with their response.
