I've got a soft spot for historical games, and Meriwether: An American Epic definitely hits all the right notes. In this nascent title, you'll be able to take the role of Captain Lewis, a man who must survive an arduous mission that will span North America and 28-months of life in the untamed wilderness. With nothing but the Corps of Discovery at your side, Meriwether: An American Epic will have players engaged in a title that is equal parts role-playing game, resource management, survival, exploration, discovery and diplomacy. There's also going to be a pretty unique-looking dialogue interface, Mass Effect-inspired Codex of sorts, historical accuracy and more. All in all, it sounds like an expansive project that will probably devour the attention of thousands should it succeed in being created.
