Ed Key and David Kanaga announced that their ambient exploration game Proteus has left beta, and is scheduled for a Windows and Mac release via Steam on January 30th.
Proteus has earned multiple awards and honors during its beta period, including a finalist nomination for the 2012 Independent Games Festival's Nuovo Award. Designer Key notes: "Since the start of the beta we've been refining and expanding Proteus and have reached a point where it feels right to call it 'done' (at least until we've had a rest and thought about another update)."
Proteus will be available for purchase from its official website for $7.50 until January 30th, after which it will increase in price to $9.99. All current and future purchases include a Steam key and a DRM-free copy of the game for Windows and Mac.
