It's been over two years since the last teaser trailer of Unclaimed World, but apparently development work on this interesting planet colonizing sim is far from over. The brand new teaser trailer posted above is proof enough that the project is making progress and, though a release date has not been announced yet, the free alpha version should be made available sometime during this spring, with a demo following in the summer.
Now, all we know about the game is what the developers told us, but, admittedly, what they did tell is quite exciting. Unclaimed World will allow players to explore and colonize a fertile yet dangerous alien world modeled on some logical sci-fi assumptions and the historical experiences of frontier expansion on Earth. Its characters will be AI individuals and the game will sport both a detailed economic model and structured societal and ecological systems.
