rootaccess.pngThough Uplink remains the most atmospheric hacking game I have ever played, I must admit that the prompt interface of Root Access feels particularly authentic and oddly nostalgic and that Peter Moorhead's latest offering is something you should definitely try especially if you like typing stuff, fondly remember the days of MS-DOS and/or enjoy unique, clue-based puzzle games. It's a game in which you'll browse through the public files of shadowy corporations using simple DOS-like commands and collect the clues and tools needed to crack their passwords and expose them. Simple, smart and it works.

Root Access is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
