Not merely a remake nor a sequel, Pong Revolution by Rocky Hong (developer of Magnetized) is a reinvention of Pong for the new century. He starts with the paddle and ball formula and resculpts that basic clay into a retro-flavored but totally modern single-player action game for the ages.
The instructions printed on the original Pong cabinet, "AVOID MISSING BALL FOR HIGH SCORE," still apply, but there's a lot more going on than just one bat and one ball. As the game evolves, each iteration of the premise is a surprising new challenge. The gameplay intensifies quickly and keeps you on your toes as Radio Giraffe's awesome chiptune spurs you on.
The game offers a choice of 3 control methods: mouse, arrow keys, or your mind. I prefer the mouse, but you really should give the mind controls a try for the complete Pong Revolution experience.
