relentlessCPC.pngOf the three great 8-bit game machines ("computers" if you were a parent) that ruled Europe back in the '80s the Amstrad CPC seems to be the one getting the smallest amount of retro love, and this is a shame. I quite love said compact micro, its impressive for the time colours and its breed of Z80 games and was thus happily surprised to discover the 2013 Amstrad CPC 16KBs ROM Game Development Competition. It's a fantastic and very indie compo with 8 lovely games to download for free and one arcade-y winner: Relentless.

Other entries I enjoyed would include the brilliantly named rogue-like The Dungeons Of Count Roland, shooter Cyber Huhn and Sokoban clone Overkoban.
