Two-man team Andalusian is seeking funding for its surrealist stealth and exploration game Tangiers on Kickstarter. Along with a shadow based stealth engine, sandbox environments, and non-linear progression, Tangiers boasts two particularly intriguing elements: a world rebuilding system, where "the world collapses and rebuilds itself the more you interact with it," and a word collecting system, where you can use and combine words "with your standard abilities to distract, mislead or create new effects based on their meaning."
After the break is a focused look at the stealth mechanics in Tangiers.
Tangiers is scheduled to release on Windows, Mac and Linux in August 2014. A 10 Euro ($13) Kickstarter pledge will net a DRM-free copy of the game when it releases.
