After releasing a pair of quality platformers in NyxQuest and The Fancy Pants Adventures, developer Over The Top Games is taking a leap toward something new with Full Mojo Rampage. It represents a shift in both dimension and genre.
Instead of a 2D platformer, Full Mojo Rampage is a top-down, 3D action-roguelike. Over The Top is tapping into the surprisingly oft-ignored world of voodoo to provide a fairly unique setting and theme. Players can make pacts with Voodoo gods to enhance their abilities. Some gods are better at providing offensive enhancements, while others may help provide support during co-operative multiplayer matches. Don't expect these gifts to be free, as these powerful deities ask certain tasks be completed before bestowing them upon you.
Even though the game is still in development, you don't have to wait to give it a shot. Full Mojo Rampage is out now through Steam early access for $18, which is two dollars off the future asking price of $20.
