Announced at Microsoft's Gamescom event and detailed on Mojang's blog, the Minecraft developer's first third-party published game from Oxeye Studios, Cobalt, will come to Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game is being ported to console by FatShark AB (Krater, Hamilton's Great Adventure).
Cobalt is a 2D action platformer that released in December 2011 as a playable alpha for Windows and Mac and is full of cyborgs, weapons, and super slow-motion evasive moves. Developer Pontus Hammarberg says the team is working on a hefty single player campaign now.
Cobalt joins Capy's roguelike Below and Mojang's own Minecraft (handled again by 4J Studios) as the third indie title announced for Xbox One. Earlier today Microsoft announced its Xbox One launch titles. However, none of these titles show to be making launch.
