The hottest thing to surface as of late, if only by name alone, SUPERHOT is a first person shooter where time moves only when you do. Expanded upon its 7DFPS jam incubation, you solve each tactical puzzle by creeping up on enemies and taking their gun or dodging and shooting, while avoiding even bullets that only move when you do.
As is the issue with some FPS games, the AI has magical guns with unlimited ammo. When I get those guns, I am stuck with limited ammo. However, because of time standing still, I am able to take down waves of enemies in ways I never could tolerate in other FPSes. And for that, I am thankful to Piotr Iwanicki and crew for SUPERHOT.
