The likelihood of a meteor crashing to Earth with a living alien form may be slim, but if it does you can be sure it will be scooped up and locked away in a lab somewhere. What if a security breach allowed that being to escape captivity? And what if it didn't like what it found? Paradise Lost not only answers these questions, it puts you in the driver seat.
Asthree Works is channelling the sci-fi mood of games like Metroid and the stealth action of Metal Gear to create a 2D platformer with an emphasis on puzzle solving and exploration. As an alien plant, your abilities are as varied as they are wild. You can toss seeds that can become manipulable mini-plants to access unreachable switches, daze guards with exploding spores or even takeover their minds.
Utilizing these abilities will hopefully result in your eventual escape from the laboratory in which you're being kept captive. As you make your way toward your goal you'll have to contend with the horrors your presence has made possible. The game is already up on Steam Greenlight and it will be coming to Windows, Mac and PC. A Kickstarter campaign is "coming soon".
