Festival of Magic popped up about a year ago in its alpha state. The game is now jockeying for a spot on Steam through Greenlight, and its new trailer shows off just how far the game has come.

The newest feature is the ability to grow your own ammunition and spells on your own island farm. Your crops can then be used during the turn-based battles, which look a lot like the kind found in the classic RPGs found on the original Playstation. Maybe it's due to the three-character party setup. Heck, even the exploration aspects rekindle memories of that era. Episodic DLC and PVP are also being planned as features.

Festival of Magic can be voted on at its Steam Greenlight page. Those interested in beta testing this December should head over to the signup page. The full version has an estimated release date of fourth quarter 2014.
