In Amy Dentata's A Night in the Woods, you play the role of an unnamed protagonist who got lost in the forest and must search for shelter to sleep for the night. Abandoned houses, boarded windows and empty backyards all lend a creepy feeling to the atmosphere, but there's no rest to be had until you've found a relatively safe spot to set up camp somewhere beyond the trees.
To survive the night you'll also need to gather enough kindling to start a fire. Notes, newspaper, diaries, and even scraps of paper will all burn nicely, though you might want to skim through them first before destroying any information that they may provide.
You can play A Night in the Woods in your browser (provided it has the Unity plugin installed), or download a copy to play offline on Windows, Mac and Linux.
